Lothians Countryside Initiative

About

The primary objective of RHET Lothian is to educate school children in the local area about where their food comes from, how it is produced, increase their awareness of rural life and the environment to promote awareness of wildlife, forestry, agriculture, the countryside and rural industries. Principal activities undertaken to achieve our objectives are: - - co-ordination of farm visits to allow school children, and other youth organisations to experience the Scottish countryside first hand - co-ordination of classroom speakers to give talks about farming and food production allowing school children the opportunity to engage with people who live and work in the countryside. The Trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by OSCR in deciding what activities the charity should undertake.
