Promote and develop in Orkney and elsewhere, general and specialist interest in the history of the Longhope Lifeboat and the Lifeboat Institution in general. the history of seafaring in Orkney elsewhere. the cultural, social and domestic and seafaring history of Orkney. Operate, manage, control, administer, maintain and develop the Longhope Lifeboat Museum and any other premises associated therewith in every respect as may seem appropriate including the operation of a shop or other establishment. Develop the Longhope Lifeboat Museum and establish and provide recreational, educational and entertainment facilities.
