To retain, house and display items of whatever nature that have influenced the development of the village and Parish of Peterculter over the years. To advance the eduction of local residents in the area concerning its past connections with agriculture, the railway, the paper mills and many other activities. To promote and provide a local facility for educational, social to other activities that will assist residents or visitors to the area. The set up and management of the former St Peter's Church as a museum to store and display artefacts and archive material pertaining mainly to the local area. The museum is open to the public on Sunday afternoons May to September and at other times by arrangement. The Heritage Hall is used for community social functions and serving teas on Sunday afternoons from May to September. It is also available for hire by local exercise groups and for private parties.
