The World Association for Veterinary Dermatology

The World Association for Veterinary Dermatology oversees the World Congress fo Veterinary Dermatology which is held every four years. I addition, WAVD guides and encourages the development of national and multinational organizations devoted to the discipline of Veterinary Dermatology to foster worldwide education in the field, to provide funding to working groups and committees active in any area relevant to dermatology and to provide scholarships to those wishing to attend congresses. It has also developed a number of publications, including Advances in Veterinary Dermatology (volumes 1-8) which incorporates the scientific proceedings of each congress. In short, the goals are reflected in our mission statement which is: “To promote the worldwide advancement of veterinary dermatology”.
