The prevention or relief of poverty among the residents of Orkney through:- 1) the provision of good quality housing for rent at affordable rents under secure conditions of a tenancy. 2) the promotion of companies whose activities are directed towards the provision of paid employment to poverty stricken residents of Orkney, or towards the provision of rented housing for poverty stricken residents of Orkney, or towards the relief from need among poverty stricken residents of Orkney, the acquisition and holding of shares, stocks, debentures and other interests in companies whose activities are so directed and the provision of managerial, supervisory and consultancy services to, or in respect of, such companies. 3) the promotion and implementation of schemes of community benefit of a charitable nature with Orkney. 4) to carry on any other activity which may be advantageously carried on in connection with any of the objects of the company.
