Fraserburgh Unit (No 419) of the Sea Cadet Corps
✓ Registered charity · SC027652About
The charity is a sea cadet unit dedicated to the development of young individuals, aged 8 to18, through structured discipline, training, and community engagement. The unit is affiliated to the Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) so we are guided by their practices, ethos and principles to provide education and training on a nautical theme. We provide the cadets with training, education and leisure activities to assist with their physical, intellectual and social development to help them develop into responsible citizens. We provide a platform for cadets to acquire various skills that are beneficial throughout life. These skills include seamanship, navigation, first aid, survival techniques, cooking, marine engineering, music and piping. We also provide equipment and training for many physical activities including drill, sailing, paddle sports, rowing, windsurfing, mountain biking, swimming and football. We have close links with the local community.
