About

To provide or assist in the provision of, facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare for the general public and in particular in connection with the local authority area of The City of Edinburgh as defined in the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Community') with the object of improving the conditions of life for the Community. and To provide, whilst providing or assisting in the provision of such facilities for the Community, special facilities for persons who by reason of their youth, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances may need special facilities. and To promote good health among the Community through health education directed to the part which healthy eating and standards of nutrition together with exercise play in the maintenance of good health
