Norse Mill Society

About

The charity was set up to care for, maintain and preserve the Shawbost Norse mill and kiln buildings, mill workings and surrounding area including access to the site. The mill was restored to its present form in 1993/1994 with the kiln being built in 1996. The charity's aim has been to keep the site as near the original as possible, so as to show visitors what this example of crofting life was like.
