The purpose of the charity is to advance heritage by promoting awareness of the Union Canal and its benefits, to provide recreational activities, facilities and activities for our members and the general public at large, and to promote, encourage and assist in the restoration, maintenance and use of the Canal particularly around Broxburn, Winchburgh and Philpston as an amenity, and recreational waterway.
