Founded in 1994, Children's Music Foundation in Scotland (presenting as Children’s ClassicConcerts - CCC) produces professional orchestral performances and connected activity specifically to benefit young people aged 4 – 12 and their families in Scotland. At the heart of what we do is the aim to cultivate that initial spark of curiosity and enjoyment of classical music - highlighting the unique sense of joy, fascination and comfort it can bring, in a welcoming setting. CCC’s Vision is to empower children to engage with culture now, while future-proofing audiences for the sector. We present 5 strands of work annually: Flagship concerts partnering with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO). events with our own 20-piece ‘Essential Orchestra’. touring small ensembles of 4 or 5 musicians. a concert film + 2 digital learning resources. and 50+ workshops for schools / communities.
