About

WSP aims to raise awareness of the extent & effects of violence against women & children, & support those affected by violence. The WSP adopts a feminist ethos & principles in all its activities. Key themes in our work are addressing unmet need & emerging issues, making links between different forms of violence and abuse, & supporting multiagency & partnership approaches, ensuring the root causes of violence against women and girls (VAWG) are addressed. The work of WSP bridges the gap between statutory & specialist services in their response to VAWG. Our areas of focus are Commercial Sexual Exploitation, racially minoritised women’s experiences of VAWG & technologically facilitated harm. Through our engagement with survivors & frontline practitioners we aim to ensure practice responses, policy & legislative changes are informed by women’s lived realities & support the provision of quality services for survivors that build on strengths, meet needs & reduce harm.
