About

The main objectives of the School are set out in Section C (Q.1): to promote education generally, and in particular at The Compass School (the School), Haddington. The objectives are wholly charitable. The main objectives of the year were to continue to develop the standards and quality of the education provided by the School and to ensure that the School continues to prosper on all fronts, building on previous successes. The School produces an annual Standards & Quality Report resulting from self-evaluation using Education Scotland's quality indicators for schools (HGIOS4). This aims to build on the School's strengths and identify areas for improvement and development through an annual School Improvement Plan. The School also produces an annual Learning & Teaching Development Plan to promote and develop standards and attainment in education within the School. The Governors have paid due regard to OSCR's guidance in deciding what activities the School should undertake.
