About

The 7 principles of curriculum design are considered within our planning to prepare the children with skills for learning in life, adding depth in literacy, numeracy and health and well-being. We plan to provide a language rich environment for the children throughout our setting. Our learning and teaching is very much influenced by the children and it is active and engaging. The children’s learning journals and care plans make sure they are nurtured and parent/carers wishes followed. Learning intentions and success criteria are shared with children and they are very much involved in evaluating their learning. Next steps are identified in Health and Well-being, Literacy and Numeracy from children, parent and staff. Ethos and life of the playgroup, Curriculum areas and topics, learning and personal achievement opportunities are all at the heart of our planning.
