SAY Women
✓ Registered charity · SC016526About
The charity is set up to provide support to young women (16-25yr olds) who are homeless (or at risk of) and survivors of sexual abuse. We provide semi supported accommodation, emotional and practical support, group activities, and connect the young women to their own chosen community for longer term support. Our accommodation unit houses up to 8 young women at any one time for a period of 18 months, to help them get used to physical safety and manage a tenancy. We also provide Training to front-line workers in the housing and homeless services to help them understand the connection between sexual abuse and homelessness and how to look at a tenancy with a gendered approach. We also delivery tenancy sustainment programmes to help groups of people manage their own tenancies and to overcome trauma responses to make you a better tenant.
