About

Scouting helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. Our scout group aims to provide fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, adventure and the chance to help others to make a positive impact in communities to young people aged between 4 and 18 in the Fyvie area via weekly section meetings of 75 minutes for Squirrels (4-6) and Beavers (6-8) and 90 minutes for Cubs (8 – 10 ½ ), Scouts (10 ½ to 14) and explorers (14 to 18, in collaboration with District), providing a balanced range of activities to allow personal challenge, opportunities to develop skills and have fun. Activities include games and physical, team and outdoor challenges, such as camping, hill walking and bush craft and completion of DoE awards for older members. All members work towards badges and awards to recognise their progress.
