The Charity is a Family Trust where the revenue from a capital portfolio is distributed to charities in the UK, with a focus on care of the elderly, support for research into chronic and terminal illnesses, overseas development focusing on health and relief projects, preservation of the environment and historic projects in Scotland and supporting the development of cultural life in Scotland.
