Buchanan Society

About

The objects of The Buchanan Society are to assist the poor who bear by birth, adoption, or marriage the surname Buchanan and those of the recognised septs: MacAuslan (all spellings), MacWattie and Risk. The Society provides educational and financial hardship grants to those who qualify and where grant applications are agreed by the Society’s Directors. Normally grant applications are considered at meetings of the Board of Directors but with more urgent applications decisions are made by the Office Bearers and ratified at the next Board meeting. A grant applicant does not have to be a member of the Society.
