The Trust has been established for charitable purposes only. The trustees are to apply the Trust Fund and the net annual income therefrom for the benefit of such purposes, objects or institutions which the law regards as charitable in such shares and proportions as they may from time to time in their discretion think fit. Although the objectives are fairly wide, the trustees have tended to favour organisations concerned with the alleviation of suffering in the seriously and terminally ill and by virtue of their donations the trustees aim to assist in provision of care and carers for the seriously ill or terminally ill.
