SDCA is set up to promote Scottish dairy livestock. To encourage Scottish dairy farmers to Milk Record and utilise the data to improve animal health and welfare and improve dairy farm management to be more efficient. To attend industry and Scottish Government Health and Welfare Stakeholder Groups to inform Scottish dairy farmers of legislation or bovine disease threats which may affect Scottish dairy farmers. To arrange visits to Scottish dairy farms with delegates from abroad so they can obtain and share knowledge with Scottish dairy farmers. To present at meetings and be involved at Industry events to promote good dairy management within Scottish Dairy Herds. To sponsor delegates who are travelling abroad and will be promoting Scottish dairy herd management, breed genetics and good animal husbandry. To make donations to individuals and organisations to aid animal health through testing and promotion of services.
