The Trust aims to assist young Scots and Scottish Institutions. The Trust helps talented and worthy individuals who need help to achieve their objectives by awarding grants. The Director selects those applications that best meet the criteria requirements and these are then considered by the Trustees at their meetings. Grant recipients are required to submit a report to the Trustees on the outcome of their work/studies. While the Trust does not provide multi year awards, the Trustees will consider further support for recipients which is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory report from the previous year. Grants are targeted at individuals of Scots birth, upbringing or formation who are undertaking courses of postgraduate study at educational institutions either at home or abroad.
