To stimulate public interest and knowledge in geology particularly in Scotland. The charity holds regular lectures throughout the winter including a public lecture. In the summer months a variety of excursions take place. Our Grant Scheme supports projects from unrestricted funds which further the aims of the Society to encourage public interest in geology and to advance geological knowledge. Additionally small grants to support geological fieldwork are made from restricted funds.
