Kinloch Historical Society

About

Kinloch Historical Society (KHS) was formed on 6th December 1983 to promote the heritage and genealogy of the Kinloch area. A dedicated group of volunteers then began to collect and KHS is now situated in the old school at Balallan which has been developed as a community hub and offers a wide range of services. Among these are two museum rooms, an archive, a heritage store and workshop, conference space, charity shop, laundrette and office rental. The Society publishes books which are significant to the history, heritage & culture of the area. The community hub also facilitates the Warm Hub service where members of the community can meet and have their lunch at a suggested price that they can pay or pay whatever they can. Kinloch Historical cannot function without the valuable service given by our volunteers. Monthly meetings are held to discuss relevant agenda items and also provide an opportunity to have an informal chat afterwards regarding Kinloch history
