About

The Church of Scotland was founded in 1560. It is Trinitarian in doctrine, Reformed in tradition, and Presbyterian in polity. It seeks to glorify God, and to work for the advancement of Christ's Kingdom throughout the world. As a national church, it acknowledges a distinctive call and duty to bring the ordinances of religion to the people in every parish of Scotland through a territorial ministry. The congregation's mission statement is 'Kirkcudbright Parish Church at the heart of Kirkcudbright, having Kirkcudbright at heart', and it seeks to fulfil this through worship, mission, service, and community engagement. Kirkcudbright Parish Church seeks to draw people towards development of a personal and deepening relationship with Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. To this end, two Services are held every Sunday as well as facilitation of a number of Bible Study Groups, meeting at various times throughout the week.
