About

St Andrew’s Children’s Society is a voluntary adoption and fostering agency with offices in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. We help vulnerable children in Scotland who cannot live with birth families find safe, loving homes. Many have experienced trauma, so we provide lifelong specialist support. Services include: For prospective carers: info events (in-person/virtual), preparation groups, homestudy, panel approval, family finding. For approved carers: support events (Theraplay®, SafeBase, group work, life story work), peer activities, 1-2-1 support, letterbox contact. Events are virtual and in-person (Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Elgin). Adoption counselling/tracing: profiles of adoptees’ early life, search and intermediary service for tracing birth relatives.
