The Trust has existed as a charity since 1985. We have three primary areas of work. We provide support for families who have experienced sudden and unexpected death in infancy and childhood (SUDIC). We provide education and training around SUDIC. We are Scotland’s only charity advocating for research into the causes and prevention of SUDIC. Our Support reaches out to families impacted by the sudden and unexpected loss of their child and provides bereavement care to any family member who has been affected by the loss of a young child up to the age of five years old. This involves - Intensive, person-centred, trauma-informed support work - Counselling provision through an extensive network of affiliated professionals across Scotland. - Play therapy and Youth Counselling - Parent and sibling support resources Next Infant Support Programme (NISP) provide emotional and psychological support to those families who have previously lost a child who go on to have another pregnancy
