The charity was set up to provide grants to such charities as the Trustees decide including those who provide support for (a) Christian organisations, (b) medical treatment and care of the sick, the elderly and those in poverty, (c) the education/training/upbringing of the young and (d) the preservation/maintenance of buildings of historic or artistic interest. The Trustees meet twice a year to consider grant applications received from qualifying charities and then pay grants to successful applicants
