Stranraer & Rhins of Galloway Agricultural Society is responsible for running Stranraer Show. a one day Agricultural Show which has been held in the area for over 175 years. The event celebrates all that is great about rural South West Scotland and provides a shop window for farmers and livestock breeders as well as a wide variety of rural businesses, food producers, artists and craftworkers. There is also a wide variety of entertainment to ensure the event appeals to a wide ranging audience and ensures an excellent day out for everyone in the community. It plays a key role in educating the general public about rural life and the agricultural sector.
