The Hermes Viraat Trust was established to seek to preserve the former Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Hermes, made famous as the Falklands War Taskforce Command Ship, as a naval museum, one dedicated to also commemorating its great service in the Indian Navy as INS Viraat. The Trust now seeks to support those affected by the 1982 war
