Formed on 15 May 2014 to take over the work of an unincorporated charity of same name number 1002627, wound up from 14 October 2014 and all assets and liabilities transferred to the CIO.The CIO has continued to preserve, restore and maintain its locomotives and rolling stock for public operation and education, providing opportunities for learning and skills development for those involved.
