Dr Oloya travelled to Uganda 3 times assessing needs, following up local organisation progress. Particular areas of concern among marginalised groups included alcohol and drug misuse among young people and maternal and new born health as well as the effect of nodding syndrome, a rare and neglected disease, on poor rural communities. These activities were made with the view of future fund raising
