Home- Start Islington recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to support families in their own home. Volunteers offer emotional and practical support to parents who have a least one child under 5 by visiting the home for 3- 4 hours per week.Family referrals come from health, social workers or self referrals. Isolation remains the most common problem for the families that Home-Start supports.
