The two day festival brings poets renowned nationally and internationally to read. It is intended that the Festival should bring poetry to as diverse a section of the wider community as possible in an area that is somewhat deprived of it. It is also intended that the Festival should provide a platform for new talent as showcased by the Faber New Poets that appear as part of their tour.
