SHINE was set up in 2007 with the aim of finding new and community-based ways to tackle health inequalities in South Somerset. SHINE (Somerset) Ltd is a not for profit company limited by guarantee with charitable status. SHINE works from a community space in Chard and a GP practice in Yeovil, with minimal core costs. It is a member of the national Healthy Living Alliance.
