Established to commemorate the late prof. Francis William Carter. Our aim is to further education by motivating students to research their work by reference to original sources. We award two postgraduate prizes annually; one in Geography at University College London and one in Social Science or History at SSEES UCL, and hold Frank Carter Lecture annually. We do not provide grants.
