The charity was established to undertake the restoration of a historic rock-hewn church in Tigray, Northern Ethiopia during the Ethiopian Millennium (2007/2008). It has expanded into assisting the community to diversify their economy. The future consists of supporting sustainable tourism throughout northern Ethiopia, mainly through building community based tourist lodges.
