The WI is based on the ideals of fellowship, truth, tolerance and justice.The main purposes of the WI are to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, to improve and develop conditions of rural life and to advance their education. It seeks to give women the opportunity of working together through the WI organisation and of putting into practice the ideals.
