The festival is held annually at the St Johns Church, St Ives, is competitive and open to amateurs of all ages. Classes include verse speaking, prose and sight reading, mime duologues, acting, choral speaking and original verse. It is professionally adjudicated. Fundraising events are held which help to keep the entry fee at a reasonable level.
