The charity provides adult volunteer "befrienders" for children from disadvantaged and lone parent families. Each volunteer builds a close bond and attachment with a child through regular weekly meetings, over two or more years. This supportive mentoring, interest and guidance leads to improvements in the child's confidence, resilience, educational performance, relationships and life aspirations.
