To promote the relief of illness by enabling, encouraging and empowering those who care for the dying and suffering, in accordance with the Christian ethos which has inspired the Hospice Movement, by the provision of courses, workshops and conferences, and by undertaking research into the various causes of stress suffered by those delivering palliative care, and publishing the useful results.
